Since its formation in 1985, Mercapital has become a recognized leader in the Spanish Private Equity market, having invested more resources than any other group in the equity of Spanish companies. It currently has approximately 1 € billion of funds under management representing the largest pool of capital dedicated to Spain. Mercapital is focused on Iberian buyouts (LBOs, MBOs and MBIs), buy-and-builds and growth capital transactions (both influential minority and majority stakes). Its target equity investment per deal is €20 million to €150 million (including follow on investments and co-investment with fund LPs).
