Northzone Ventures has a focused strategy to back early stage Nordic technology winners. Helping a start-up grow is really something different then developing a mature company. All the key issues are fundamentally different. They are focused on start-ups and early stage. They only invest in companies that can become major winners and shape their respective industries in a new way. Companies that have less ambition than that may well be healthy businesses but not prospective Northzone investments. They want to deliver 1st tier returns to their investors, not just nice companies. They stick to their knitting, and only invest in technology companies which is their area of core competence.
