Seibu Shinkin Capital Corporation is a venture capital company and a fully owned subsidiary of Seibu Shinkin Bank. Most Japanese venture capital companies, including Seibu Shinkin Capital, are different from their U.S. counterparts in nature: Unlike a U.S. venture capital, which is oftentimes a partnership among venture capitalists, a Japanese venture capital is mostly a corporation playing the role of the unlimited partner with the venture investment fund. The TAMA fund started with Yen 500 million in April 2003. It was expanded in March 2004 to one billion Yen and was renamed \"TAMA fund No.1\". The other fund \"TAMA fund No. 2\" was created also in March 2004 with another one billion Yen, about half of which was invested by JASMEC, Japan Small and Medium Enterprise Corporation under the Japanese Government. © SEIBU Shinkin Capital
