Capvent will focus primarily on sectors with the highest potential to add value such as services, knowledge based industries, in certain manufacturing sectors where India possesses core attributes, and in sectors that will benefit directly by the increase in consumption in India. Capvent has chosen to also invest significantly through a co-investment strategy to provide diversified and high quality private equity exposure to all sectors of Private Equity in India. This strategy is particularly well adapted to the Indian marketplace, which is characterized by a vibrant pipeline of opportunities but a small number of experienced Indian managers.
