In 1962 a group of ten businessmen founded the First National Bank of Brookfield, located in the Grand Boulevard business district. The bank was established during a period of rapid growth in Brookfield when the local population doubled. The First National Bank of Brookfield experienced great success during the first five years, growing to $5 million dollars in assets by the end of 1967.
