Business description

$1,000,000 for negotiated equity or acquisition --- waste reduction firm wants to exploit proprietary products and expand; firm has exclusive marketing, distribution, and manufacturing rights for North America for large Mammoth Roll-Pack compaction machines; Roll-Pack technology is the only compaction system that will compact waste in open bins (20-50 cu yd); commercial waste is an increasing market and a huge cost to businesses; firm’s machines remove the air or space in open bins before the bins are hauled off to the landfill or recycler, thus the space in the bins is maximized as bins are compacted to capacity; Roll-Pack technology has been in existence in Europe for over 27 years with extraordinary success; the Mammoth machine was engineered in 1996, and over 100 Mammoths have been sold in Europe in the last 10 years where the market is much smaller than the US market; the Mammoth has proven to be extremely reliable with minimal maintenance; the Mammoth has been shown to have a compaction ratio of from 4:1 to 10:1 depending on the type of waste, meaning that 4-10 times as much waste can be placed in each bin, allowing the bins to be picked up at 10% to 25% of the usual periodicity; with current costs to pick up bins ranging from $200-800, substantial savings have been experienced; current users of Roll-Pack technology are saving from $2,500 to $17,000 per month, and there are companies that have >$35,000/month hauling costs; expansion markets are several: · firm has developed a shared savings program for customers, where the customer has free use of the Mammoth (firm retains asset ownership) and the customer receives 25% of the savings and the firm receives 75%; · for haulers who bill by the ton, it is cost effective for them to lease or purchase a Mammoth and install at their customer\'s site at no cost to their customer; this decreases the hauler\'s number of trips per month by 75-80%; haulers could in turn offer a shared savings program to their customers or the hauler can offer to give the customer a 10% discount on their current bill and free use of the Mammoth; besides for the savings, the customer would experience less wear and tear on their parking surface due to the decrease in visits by the hauler; · transfer stations can use the Mammoth to maximize the space in bins prior to removing them from site; · property management companies can utilize the Mammoth at their industrial facilities or apartment complexes; if the management company pays for waste pick up, they can consolidate all tenants\' trash at one location and compact it in an open bin at a secure location, thus eliminating the high cost of several small cu. yd. bins being picked up weekly; this would keep their property cleaner; even if the individual tenants pay for their garbage pickup, the property management company can offer to take over the waste disposal process and pass some or all of the savings to the tenants in the form of rent reduction; this process also reduces the number of visits by the hauler, and so reduces wear and tear by trucks on parking surfaces and eliminates safety and noise concerns since trucks will no longer travel through the entire complex; · home builders have enormous waste costs; they typically place small bins every 3-4 homes where subcontractors dispose of their excess materials; the builder must have a truck come by to pickup debris from smaller bins and place it in a open bin to be taken to the landfill; there is a lot of air in the bins when they leave the site; if a builder placed a Mammoth on site, they could bring bins to that location to be compacted and then taken back to have additional debris added to the bin; builders usually budget $750 per home for debris removal and an efficient waste program can drastically reduce those costs; · firm was recently listed by The Port Authority of NY & NJ as an approved vendor for their four departments; firm has an existing marketing program in place which includes a website, lead generator letters, preview packs, sales manuals, and CDs; firm is just beginning its marketing program; the vast majority of current users of open bins are unaware that they have an option to compact their waste.
