First Community Bank of Tifton

The Farmers Bank of Tifton was established on February 24, 1937 to provide financial services to the citizens of Tifton and the surrounding Tift area. The bank has operated continuously since its inception. On July 31, 1985, the Farmers Bank of Tifton changed its name to First Community Bank of Tifton. In 1987, First Community Bank of Tifton was acquired by CB&T Bancshares of Columbus, Georgia, and in 1989, CB&T Bancshares, Inc. was renamed Synovus Financial Corp. Currently, First Community Bank of Tifton is one of the largest full-service banks in our community.
