Charlotte Angel Partners (CAP) is a structured angel venture capital fund that was created to assist early stage companies based within a three-hour driving range of Charlotte, North Carolina. These companies are typically one step beyond startup and will have a management team in place. They will have built their prototype product or web site and now are looking for funding to move to the next level. The Members are motivated to participate in CAP for a variety of reasons. Many are CEOs or former CEOs of private and public companies who want to be involved with rapidly growing companies where there is a good fit between their experience and the company\'s needs. Others are actively involved in the entrepreneurial community and want to share their expertise and contacts with young companies.
