ETeCH is a unique early seed investment vehicle, with the objective of guiding early stage research achievements from European universities & other research institutions into the business world by providing: assessment, financing of application orientated development, IP (intellectual property) protection project management, and commercialisation with a proportion of the net proceeds flowing back to the technology provider. ETeCH has no specific industrial or technological focus. ETeCH operates with a broad technology focus (\"generic\" technologies) in the early seed stage. New ideas often arise in the border zones between traditionally defined technology sectors. Therefore, there is no immediate technology focus for ETeCH, which, in turn, balances the risk within its portfolio.
