Venture Capital in Portugal – IAPMEI

The Institute for the Support of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises - IAPMEI - is a Portuguese government agency operating under the aegis of the Ministry of Economy. Its mission is to design and carry out policies that support and enable companies to expand. IAPMEI focuses in particular on upgrading and innovation for small and medium-sized enterprises operating in the secondary and tertiary sectors. IAPMEI financially backs national or foreign investments, based on sustained corporate strategies. This is done by managing various incentive schemes on a national, regional and sectorial scale. © IAPMEI
