Venture Capital in Norway – Hydro Technology Ventures

Hydro\'s investment vehicles within energy markets, Norsk Hydro Technology Ventures AS and the Hydro Technology Ventures Fund I, were established in March 2001 with start-up capital totaling NOK 350 million. The Hydro Technology Ventures Fund II was established in February 2006 with start-up capital totaling NOK 400 million. The funds are invested into future-oriented companies that develop technologies compatible with Hydro\'s activities in oil and energy. Investments are targeted at post demo stage aiming at opportunities with a clear view to achieving exit within +- 3 years. In assessing projects NTV will focus on the viability of both the technology and the business and revenue model. Investment in one company could be in the range of 1 - 4 million USD. Geographically they will focus our investments on companies active in Nordic European countries, Europe, and North America. © Hydro Technology Ventures
