Venture Capital in Canada – FCC Ventures (A Division of Farm Credit Canada)

FCC Ventures is the venture capital/private equity division of Farm Credit Canada, a $10-billion agriculture lending institution. They invest in Canadian businesses that are dedicated to serving and advancing agriculture in Canada and throughout the global economy. FCC Ventures focuses on providing equity and quasi-equity financing to small and medium-sized companies. All investments must have a clearly defined exit strategy and are held for between five and seven years, depending on the type of business. Their preference is to invest in private companies.
