The Austria Wirtschaftsservice GmbH (AWS) is a financing institute of the federal government that supports Austrian companies in the preparation and implementation of project financing through securing against the associated economic risks. The AWS itself does not provide funds, but it can indirectly mobilise equity capital through its partner companies: The founding of venture capital funds is simplified with capital guarantees, whereby the AWS secures for the investors the money they pay into the fund. The AWS thereby provides stimuli for the founding of venture capital funds that provide equity capital to companies with a high level of technological orientation and good growth prospects. © Austria Wirtschaftsservice
