Argentum is a government-owned investment company, and the only pure fund-of-fund investor in the private equity sector in Norway. Argentum aims, through its investments, to facilitate access to international venture capital, and to be a driving force in the development of an internationally competitive private equity environment in Norway. Argentum invests in private venture capital funds (venture or buyout), preferably with an international dimension.The funds should be managed by fund managers who are (or can become) internationally competitive. The funds should have a total capital base of at least €40m and invest in industries where Norway has a strong position and where there is potential for considerable growth.
