Venture Capital in Canada – Vertex Venture

Vertex Venture Holdings (Vertex Group) was founded in 1988 as the venture capital arm of the former Singapore Technologies Group (ST). They are headquartered in Singapore and have offices in Silicon Valley (USA), London, Copenhagen, Tel-Aviv, Taipei, Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong. Since 1988, they had launched a total of 12 direct funds with an aggregate fund size of about US$1 billion invested in more than 300 companies in the US, Europe, Israel and Asia. As of December 2004, 134 of their portfolio companies have either achieved listings on Stock Exchanges in the US, Europe, Taiwan and Singapore, or were acquired by other companies.
