Venture Capital in Canada – Teachers\' Private Capital

The Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan is an independent corporation responsible for investing the fund’s assets and administering the pensions of Ontario’s 163,000 elementary and secondary school teachers and 101,000 retired teachers. The Government of Ontario and Ontario Teachers’ Federation, the plan’s co-sponsors, are responsible for ensuring the pension plan is fully funded and for setting plan benefit and contribution levels.
