Business description

Advent Business Sales is pleased to offer to
the market this extremely well used local
pub, which was founded some time about
1842 and originally had its own brewery at
the back of the property.
The current vendor has to reluctantly sell
due to personal reasons but over the last 3
years has built up a fantastic reputation
which was reflected in the last accounts,
showing a 50% rise in sales.
The pub boasts 2 darts teams, 2 football
teams and a golf society; a new pool table
was introduced recently and a team may be
imminent.
In the public bar it is not only a standard
TV but also a big screen projector TV for the
bigger Sky transmitted sporting events.
In the winter, from October through to
April, there is a quiz and curry night, which
is very well attended.
A karaoke has also been in use from time to
time.
At this present moment the pub is only
selling a wet offer including good real ales,
lagers, ciders, wines and spirits but there is a
well equipped commercial kitchen, which
could be re started. There is definitely a call
for ‘pub grub’ by its clientele.
The present owner and 1 part time employee
staff the business.
Stock at present is kept at approximately
£2,500 and from 27/12/06 – 27/12/07 the
barrellage was 714 barrels.
A fantastic ‘local’, well respected ‘with no
trouble’ with a cosy and comfortable
‘Victorian look’, clean, well decorated and
looked after – this pub has been priced, for a
quick sale.
TRADING HOURS
Mon – Thurs: 4.30pm – 11.30pm
Fri – Sun: 12 - 12
EXPANSION POTENTIAL
A husband and wife team could open up the
pub kitchen to put on ‘pub’ food and Sunday
roasts, both have been asked for.

| Location: | LOCATION Our client is located in a highly residential area. The housing is of mixed stock, some Victorian, some new. The area is a social location with a wide age range; this is reflected in the pub clientele. The pub’s geographical point is in a very desirable town in beautiful Worcestershire. The town itself is both historic but thriving and is close to the M5 motorway. It has excellent rail links to both Birmingham and the South West. |
