THE BUSINESS Advent Business Sales is pleased to offer to the market this extremely well established new and reconditioned pallet and packing case manufacturer, which has been trading successfully for the past 25 years. The current owner initiated the business and it has been in his contact ownership ever since. The owner is reluctantly selling due to retirement. On average the company makes 4000 new pallets and also packing cases a month and sells up to 2800 second hand and/or reconditioned ones. The company also advertises on Yell.com but most business is either by repeat orders or recommendation. Security on the site is in the hands of a 24 hour guard and guard dog. 11 full time employees plus the owner and his wife staff the business. Stock at cost is approximately 60 70,000. TRADING HOURS of yard Mon-Fri: 6.00am 5.00pm EXPANSION POTENTIAL Recently the owner has been slowing down by choice but with 28 staff a couple of years ago, they were turning over 1,700,000 per annum. The work is still there, scope is massive. Next to this is a workers area with w/c s locker area, table and chairs and hot and cold drinks machines. Continuing along the left hand side, we come to the manufacturing area. First bay is mainly cutting, the second bay is second hand reconditioning, the third is construction and the fourth area is horizontal cutting of second hand pallets, prior to reconstruction. All around is new and reclaimed timber, neatly stacked according to size and type. Stacks of second hand pallets ready for reconstruction and new and refurbished items ready to be moved to designated storage areas. From this area we move into the main storage yard, which is neatly regimented into pallets and packing cases according to size and end use, ready to be shipped out. At the far end of the yard and to the right hand is the transport loading area.
